Accessibility
Money decisions are hard enough without the screen fighting back. We're building this site to be usable by everyone — and we'll fix what we get wrong, fast.
Our commitment
- We target WCAG 2.1 Level AA across the site — the standard referenced by Ontario's AODA and good practice everywhere.
- Keyboard-first: every tool and link is fully operable without a mouse, with visible focus.
- Screen-reader friendly: semantic headings, labelled inputs, and results that announce themselves when they change.
- Readable by default: strong contrast, generous type sizes, no text baked into images, no motion that can't be ignored.
- Plain language: we write like people talk. If a sentence needs a glossary, we rewrite the sentence instead.
Known limitations
This is v1 — built small, tested on real devices, but not yet audited by an independent accessibility professional. That audit is on our roadmap before public launch, and we'll publish what it finds.

Hit a barrier? Email hello@keyanddeed.ca with what you were doing and what happened. We aim to respond within a few business days, and accessibility regressions jump the queue — including over shiny new features.
