RTO vs Save-and-Wait
The honest gate on rent-to-own: what you'd pay at buyout, how much of it your credits cover, and what failure costs under a predatory contract vs the RTO Charter. If the math says wait, wait.
Defaults reflect the market benchmark (a ~5%/yr locked escalation is common) and a neutral market guess. Change them — that's the point.

The formulas (so you can audit us)
- Buyout = price × (1 + escalation)^years · Wait-path = price × (1 + market growth)^years
- Credits = deposit + monthly × 12 × years (simple sum, no interest)
- Net cost basis (if it works) = buyout − credits · Money lost (if it doesn't) = credits × your selected forfeiture %
- Escalation benchmark: ~5%/yr locked buyback (common in Canadian RTO programs, Fall 2026). Charter mode = capped forfeiture with exit ramps.
- Estimates only — not advice; every contract differs. Get independent legal advice; the Charter requires it anyway.
